2008 ADJUDICATORS
Mr. Lamar Burkhalter is an active percussion educator, clinician, arranger and performer. He currently serves as music director for the NFL Houston Texans. He is also the founder and Executive Director of the Percussion One Foundation, a 501(c)3, non-profit organization, featuring numerous percusion ensembles in the Houston and Austin areas. Mr. Burkhalter has also served as the Percussion Director of the award-winning Westfield High School Band, which includes the national high school division winner of PASIC's "Call for Tapes," in 1989 and 1994, and six 5A State Marching Band championships. He has extensive teaching and arranging experience with numerous drum and bugle corps, including the Troopers, Sky Ryders, and Blue Knights. He has also served as a clinician/performer for the Texas Bandmasters Association, the Texas Music Educators Association, the Percussive Arts Society, and the Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic.

Mr. Gerald Babbitt has a careeer in music education that spans more than forty years. He has served in the public shools of Central and South Texas as a band director and fine arts administrator from 1964 to 2004. Mr. Babbitt has served as band director in Kingsville, Pearsall, Round Rock, Westlake and Hays. His bands were all consistent UIL Sweepstakes award winners.  While at Hays, MR. Babbitt's band was a state marching finalist, performed at the National Concert Band Festival and also recieved the Sudler Flag of Honor from the John Philip Sousa Foundation. In retirement, Mr Babbitt is highly sought as an adjudicator and clinician across the state of Texas as well as nationally.  In addition, he and his wife serve as the UIL Region 18 Executive Secretaries.
Mrs. Jackie Fullerton is in her 7th year of teaching in the Georgetown Independent School District. Her teaching responsibilities have included working with the Georgetown High School Color Guard and directing the Forbes Middle School Band. Under the direction of Mrs. Fullerton, the Forbes Middle School Honor Band has been a finalist in the Texas State Honor Band competition. Prior to moving to Georgetown, Mrs. Fullerton served as color guard instructor for Brownsfield High School, where the band placed in the finals at the AAA Texas State MArching Contest. While atttending Texas Tech University, she was  the Color Guard Captain for the "Goin' Band from Raider Land." Mrs. Fullerton has been a color guard clinician/adjudicator throughout the state of Texas.
